Happy Life Tip of the Week, Issue #045- Your Enthusiasm January 20, 2010 |
HelloCultivate a positive mental attitude to regain your enthusiasm for life.(1) Fill you mind with thoughts of peace, courage, health and hope, (2) Never try to get even with your enemies, (3) Expect ingratitude, (4) Count your blessings not your troubles, (5) Do not imitate others, (6) Try to profit from your losses, and (7) Create happiness for others. It is one of the paradoxes of modern life that the more material wealth, physical health, and security we accumulate, the more unhappy we seem to be. Fear of losing what we have, overwork, stress, and keeping up with the Joneses can wear us down over time. We lose our enthusiasm for life. Yet happiness drives much of what is good in life. Dale Carnegie wrote these words in the 1920's as he was teaching adults how to succeed in the working world. He understood that good human relations were critical to a happy and successful life and he ended up writing his own book because there were no others. That book, How to Win Friends and Influence People , has been a top seller ever since. If you want to regain your enthusiasm for life, start by spending just a few moments writing the good things in your life each day and… Cultivate a positive mental attitude to regain your enthusiasm for life.Affirmation> (1) I fill my mind with thoughts of peace, courage, health and hope, (2) I never try to get even with my enemies, (3) I cultivate gratitude in myself, but I do not expect it from others (4) I count my blessings and not my troubles, (5) I am my own person with my own style.
