What pleasure will you enjoy today for your happy life?

Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold. But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow.

There are many important pathways to happiness; pursuit of a worthy purpose, using your strengths in the service of others, great relationships with other people, gratitude and appreciation, and pleasure.

Fear is a great motivator for the essentials in life- air, water, food, shelter, a group to belong to, and safety, but it does not work so well for self-fulfillment. When we are working on being the best we can be through the use of our own skills and abilities, love is often the stronger motivator. In order to love, we must first experience appreciation and gratitude. In other words, we must be conscious of enjoying the beauty of life.

We are surrounded by simple pleasures every day and most of us have become so used to them that we no longer perceive enjoyment unless we think about it. So today, will you savor some delicious food or a special sweet treat? Or, will you enjoy a beautiful sunrise or sunset, a laugh with a friend, the scent of your favorite soap or perfume in a hot shower or bath, or a beautiful piece of music. Take time to enjoy the decision making process as you ask-
