In this global economy, the relationship between a happy life and a good life is more important than ever. Science shows that our sustainable happiness is not based in our pursuit of individual pleasure, but in our exercise of strengths and virtues for a worthy cause outside ourselves.

For pleasure and a moving example of one man's search for a better life, you might enjoy the Chris Gardener story in the movie, Pursuit of Happyness. This is a moving film about poverty, love and one man's pursuit of happiness in 1980's San Francisco. The main character is motivated by love and each successful step along his path is fueled by knowing and using his strengths and his ability to build good relations with other people.
