Happy Life Tip of the Week, Issue #110- Inspired Society April 27, 2011 |
Start building your own inspired society by doing and appreciating good and happy work.will find the ways to develop his talent; will put the fruits of his labor and intellect to effective use; will achieve brotherhood; eliminate bigotry and intolerance; will care for the indigent, the delinquent, the sick, the aged; seek the truth and communicate it; respect differences among man. I love this quote about an inspired, concerned and loving society because it does a pretty good job of describing the pathway and benefits of a happy life obtained through work. Many Countries celebrate Labor Day on May 1, or May Day. Labor Day is a particularly important holiday for happy people because labor and happiness are so closely linked. A strong labor movement leading to a strong middle class enhances happiness for the whole society. Happy people are prosperous people whose basic needs for food, shelter, health care, education, and civil rights are met. Prosperous, happy people will care for the indigent, the delinquent, the sick, and the aged. People are ambitious, social creatures. We are often happiest when we are working well together on a grand scheme to better the world. This kind of work puts the fruits of our labor, talent, and intellect to effective use. We feel dignified and valued as a member of a productive team. We feel a sense of brotherhood and belonging with our coworkers. Many people learn to tolerate others who are different in the workplace where everyone plays a part in achieving a common and beneficial goal. In fact, this is one of the things people often miss most is a layoff. If you have been laid off, or even started to work from home without close contact with your coworkers or retired lately, you might find this series of articles on how to cope with a layoff helpful. And, we all benefit from the labor of others in some way. Every product we purchase from a store, or make from materials we buy is the result of other people's work. If you feel safe in your home, drive on clean and well maintained streets, or count on an ambulance to be there when you need it, you are benefiting from the service of others. We are happily supported by thousands of people we do not know and may never meet every day of our lives. From gratitude for products and services, to the joy of our own work, to the benefits of a strong middle class, we all have a lot to appreciate labor for. So this May Day; Start building your own inspired society by doing and appreciating good and happy work.Affirmation I appreciate the benefits of my own work and the work of others.
